Yoxford Parish Council has 11 Parish Councillors. Parish Councillors are unpaid, elected (or co-opted) members of the local community with an interest in improving village life.
The elections were held on 7th May 2015, and each Parish Councillor was elected for a 4-year term or was co-opted until the end of the council term in May 2019. There is currently a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. If you are interested in this role please contact the Parish Clerk for further information.

The Parish Council has adopted the Suffolk Local Code of Conduct
The Parish Clerk is the Proper Officer of the Parish Council and is an employee. She is also the Responsible Financial Officer. Please contact the Parish Clerk if you have any questions relating to the operation of the Parish Council.

The meeting dates for 2018 are as follows (dates may be subject to change). Meetings start at 7 pm in the Village Hall, Old High Road, Yoxford, IP17 3HN.
All Parish Council meetings are public meetings and members of the public are welcome to attend to observe or speak to the Council. Time for those wishing to speak will be allotted at the start of the meeting or during the meeting at the Chair’s discretion.
Minutes and Agendas:
In accordance with the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities 2015, the Parish Council has a duty to publish draft minutes of meetings within one month of the meeting. The draft minutes can be found on this site. However, it must be noted that the minutes are only a draft document and do not become an official record of the Parish Council meeting until they are approved at the next Parish Council meeting. Minutes from earlier dates than published on this site can be obtained from the Parish Clerk.
The agenda for the forthcoming meeting will be published on this site three clear days before the meeting date.

The Parish Council has a duty to publish information to comply with the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities 2015. Every item of expenditure incurred and income received by the Parish Council is listed within the minutes of the monthly meetings and summarised within the annual accounts. The Accounts for the financial year ends 2016 and 2017 are attached here. The Annual Returns for 2016 and 2017 have been reviewed by an external auditor appointed by Public Sector Audit Appointments Limited. Any person interested has the right to inspect the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates – please contact the Parish Clerk to arrange access.
